Sexual assault does not end when the assault ends. The law should meet that reality.
Trauma-informed support
Survivors should be able to reach care that understands what they have been through, without having to prove it first.
Prevention and education
Consent, reporting, and support should be taught clearly — not left for people to figure out after harm has already happened.
Safer reporting
The legal process should not retraumatize the person asking for help. Reporting has to feel possible, not punishing.
Accountability under the law
Protections only matter if they are enforced. Survivors deserve a real chance at justice, not a closed door.
